Avian Fauna
The Monarch Area has a rich and varied bird population.
The dippers, owls, and ravens are here year round, whereas the songbirds
appear in the spring to breed and leave in the fall. Some birds,
such as the ducks and geese, just stop here for a short time before moving
on.
